3 Questions for 9/26/2014

1. What tasks have you completed?
I've completed finishing our marching show for my last high school year! Such a bittersweet moment! We just completed Hamlet and are now testing on it, while also testing on connective and epithelium tissues in anatomy. All I really have to say is thank god it's the weekend!

2. What have you recently learned?
There really is not something that I've learned than my normal routine. I learned more derivatives in calculus, more about the tissues in anatomy, understand the play Our Town in AP English, and understanding Hamlet to the very end.

3. What are you planning on doing next?
I plan on not dying this week due to having a exhibition for band, rehearsals, working the state fair, while keeping up with all my school work! If I see grouchy, just stay back I'll be behind on sleep and wishing for the weekend. Except, I'll be working on the weekend then competitions begin, so I won't have a break until after October 25th. Then, I'll start dressing decent than what I wear now! Wish me luck!

Tissues

I watched a TED talk video about how silk can be used to utilize many things in society one would not think of. For example, using silk cups instead of Styrofoam cups because if they are thrown on the ground they are better for the environment; also, using silk to replace or repair bones in our body because they are absorbable and eatable so it would not harm the body. I also read an article about brown fats which are said to burn more calories than normal white fat. Apparently they are triggered during exercise or when one is cold to maintain body temperature while burning calories. Now all of this ties back into the idea of cell differentiation because both the silk and brown fat have different functions. Depending on where the silk is and being used for depends on its function, while brown fat is used to maintain body temperature when one is cold. Different structured cells have different functions, and in anatomy tissues are a mass of cells that are grouped with similar structure and functions. The silk is the same thing because it is a mass of cells forming a thing layer that the body can use. This links to homeostasis because, for example, the brown fat is used to maintain body temperature and homeostasis is maintain order in the body! Body temperature is one of the functions homeostasis maintains!

Daily 3 Questions for 9/12/14

1.What tasks have you recently completed?
Recently I have completed more school. Yay! Woo! No just no! School is so much work now a days but gotta push through I guess. Anyways I've completed more school which means more homework, test, quizzes, and crying. Lots of crying. The build up of stress is slowly increasing....Most people can relate. I've completed dialectical journals in AP English (they should be properly named diabolical journals) which takes about two to three hours to complete one. It's one page only front, typed in 10 point font, single spaced, but it has to be the whole page no more and no less or your grade is effected. IT ABSOLUTELY SUCKS!!!!!! I cry when I do those....they are just awful. I've been putting a lot of hours into band on top of all this because we are trying to complete our marching show. Competition season is coming so let the overload of stress begin!!! May the odds be ever in my favor. Ya right they are always against me.

2.What have you learned recently?
The question should be "what haven't I learned recently?" We are already a month into school and every day it's more and more calculus (mainly derivatives), more about anatomy (right now is tissues), I've learned how to answer the so what? question in AP English of short stories or poems (so basically I'm becoming a better writer), more on how mad and crazy Hamlet has gone in Honors English, coming to the realization that I'm a senior and I'm on my last marching show in band, and I've learned my only "easy" class right now that isn't stressful is AP Government. Oh school how much you frustrate me.

3.What are you planning on doing next?
I'm planning on trying to survive school especially since I've become sleep deprived....stupid homework....trying not to get too stressed out, keep my homework schedule the same because it's helping me not procrastinate and want to kill everyone, and just get through the year with A's and B's because at this point I'm okay with B's. When I get to a C I'll go crazy and no one should talk to me. Other than that I should be learning more and more while the end of September is coming near. Then by October I'll be ready for marching season to end ( I say that now but I'll be crying after October 25th) and be ready for Halloween! I mean come on who doesn't love free candy day!:D

3 Questions for 8-29-14

1.What tasks have you completed recently?
Recently I have completed a lot of homework. This past week alone I've been up doing homework from 4 in the afternoon until 9 or 10 o'clock at night. I've also had a lot of rehearsal for marching band to complete our first movement, add more to the show, and to prepare for tomorrow's game.

2.What have you learned recently?
Recently I have learned how to grow as a musician and our new show called "Gypsy Dances" which is quite exciting, yet bittersweet! I've learned how to make my writing better in AP English while understanding Hamlet much more in detail in Honors English. I've learned so much about the human body and the correct terminology for the different regions of the body! YAY FOR SMARTNESS!!! I've learned a lot of calculus while realizing how much I hate homework, but procrastination isn't allowed in my agenda.

3.What are you planning on doing next?
I plan on learning more, passing my classes with A's (B's are ok but I don't want them), and manage to not die this year! I never thought I would be so busy my senior year when I was a freshman. Oh and having a successful marching school year!
